🗣️ “I was born in war. It’s all I have ever known.” The eastern region of Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has been mired in conflict for the past three decades. Currently, the region is an arena for several overlapping conflicts. In our medical work, we see how often civilians are paying the highest price of this continuous violence. In the first half of this year alone, we treated 3,600+ people for violence-related injuries. Our colleagues and people from the region describe the heavy toll that years of conflict have taken: https://msf.me/eastern-drc-violence-2025

📸 Gaza. DRC. Haiti. Sudan. Benin. Bangladesh. Yemen. Ukraine. South Sudan. These are just some of the places in which we snapped moments of both hardship and resilience, as our teams continued to provide medical care in around 75 countries this year. 70 images from photographers from all over the world capture our year in pictures. https://msf.me/year-pictures-2025

Before the war in Sudan broke out, the city of El Fasher was said to look like Paris at night. But it quickly became one of the most violent flashpoints in the war. Noor, Mohammed, Mawahib, and Nasr lived through the bombing and siege that destroyed their neighbourhoods. As one of them says: “The shells didn’t differentiate between who was a civilian, or who was a small child.” Today, from a refugee camp in Chad, they use their phones to bear witness to the suffering of the people who are still in El Fasher. They sat down with us to describe what life was like before the war, and what forced them to flee. 🎥 Watch our latest documentary now: https://msf.me/el-fasher-documentary

Pascale Coissard, MSF emergency coordinator, explains why this would be devastating for Palestinians ⬇️ “MSF teams are trying to expand activities and support Gaza’s shattered health system; in 2025 alone, we carried out almost 800,000 outpatient consultations and handled more than 100 000 trauma cases, and if we obtain registration, we plan to continue strengthening our activities in 2026.” MSF continues to engage with Israeli authorities to continue our activities. https://bit.ly/4pN9SN7

100,000+ people fled their homes in northern Mozambique a few weeks ago. As part of an emergency response, our teams are providing: 🩺 Consultations 🤰 Maternity services 🧠 Mental health support Still, the places where people are staying lack adequate shelter, sanitation services, and access to food. Denying medical assistance to civilians is unacceptable under any circumstances. Israel’s threat to withhold registration from MSF & other INGOs is a cynical and calculated attempt to prevent organisations from providing services in Gaza and the West Bank, Palestine. https://bit.ly/4sjL4xY
