🙌✨In 2024 alone, new malaria tools helped prevent 170 million cases and save 1 million lives. 👶🏾🛡️Thanks to vaccines now used in 24 countries and expanded protection for children, 54 million kids received seasonal malaria prevention—up from just 200,000 in 2012. 🎉 Progress continues: 47 countries + 1 territory are malaria-free (including Cabo Verde, Egypt, Georgia, Suriname and Timor-Leste). 😔 But malaria is still deadly: 282 million cases and 610,000 deaths in 2024, mostly among children under 5 in Africa.
